Toshiba Announces Multimedia Notebooks in 16-inch format

The new Satellite A660 series works with Intel-Core-i-CPUs, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 640 GB of hard drive capacity. Some models come with Blu-ray burner and hybrid TV tuner. The market launch is planned for the second quarter apple powerbook g4 power adapter.

Toshiba has expanded its notebook portfolio with the multimedia series Satellite A660 with 16-inch display. The first models will come in the second quarter on the market.

Depending on the configuration of the notebooks to work with an Intel processor of the type Core i7, Core or Core i5 i3. The DDR3 memory up to 8GB size, disk capacity is a maximum of 640 GB.

The 16-inch TruBrite display with LED backlight provides a native 16:9 resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Driven by Nvidia’s graphics chip is it Geforce GT 330M with 1 GB of memory.

Despite the low screen resolution from Toshiba equips some models with a hybrid TV tuner and Blu-ray burner, in others a multi-DVD drive is used. The new Sleep-and-music-function allows users to music from a connected MP3 player even in sleep mode or turned off via the stereo speakers play back of the notebook. The Satellite A660 measures 37.9 times 25.4 times 3.5 centimeters. It bears the seal of Energy Star 5.0. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.

Besides the 16-inch Toshiba A660 series starts in the second quarter canon bp-2l12 battery, the Satellite series C650, L630, L650 and L670. They include models with screen sizes of 13, 15 and 17 inches.
